“Love Myself. Caring for Others.” Writing Award Scheme (2016)
“Love Myself. Caring for Others.” Writing Award Scheme, a collaboration between G4K and Social Welfare Department Tsuen Wan / Kwai Tsing District Coordinating Committee on Family and Child Welfare Services , aims to instill into children from underprivileged backgrounds the values they will need to become proactive, self-sufficient and yet caring for the society. Through working with Integrated Family Service Centres and service units providing fee-waiving subsidies under ASCP, children aged from 6 to 12 are encouraged to participate in volunteer work and share their feelings through writing in Chinese or English. Outstanding writing pieces will be complied into a commemorative booklet and children will be rewarded with book coupons.
Service Target: 260 children under the care of Integrated Family Service Centres or receiving fee-waiving subsidies under ASCP in Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing District
